Jorge Parente is a filmmaker with over 20 years of experience directing narrative films, documentaries, commercials, political profiles, and promotional content across Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. Renowned for his sharp visual storytelling—particularly in the thriller genre—he has written 12 narrative short films and directed 6, including Urbania, which was officially selected and screened at the Shorts Mexico film festival in Mexico City. He has also written 4 feature screenplays, one of which he directed.

With a background in photography—recognized with a first-place award—Jorge brings a refined visual sensibility to every frame. His creative journey also includes acting in over 20 television series and teaching theatre to more than 100 students, enriching his deep understanding of performance and story.

His passion for filmmaking began at age 12 during a visit to Universal Studios Hollywood. Standing in front of the Back to the Future clock tower set, he knew storytelling through film was what he was meant to do.
